In August I was lucky to be asked to photograph a Nymans wedding for Amber and Andy, this post is a look back at some of their photos and the venue itself.

Nymans is a National Trust property comprising of varied gardens, the current house and the ruins of the old house. Dotted throughout the grounds are lots of stone archways and hidden staircases which make for great photo opportunities when it comes to couple photos.

As soon as arrive in Nymans you are surrounded with lovely natural backdrops which help to set the scene even for natural and candid photos.

The grounds at Nymans are quite large, fortunately there is also a buggy to help get the bridal party around the grounds which also creates different opportunities for photos.

The wedding ceremony at Nymans takes place in the Italiante Loggia, a Gothic building with roses climbing up the columns. Amber and Andy opted to have their bridesmaids and groomsmen inside the Loggia itself with their guests seated on the lawns.

One of the main reasons for getting married at Nymans is of course the use of the gardens and so Amber and Andy gave me plenty of time to take in the gardens and to make the most of the different photo opportunities.

Nymans is a beautiful choice for a wedding venue, each wedding will be slightly different depending on the season and is definitely a venue that I look forward to working at again.
