This year I have been lucky to be able to photograph a few weddings at Buxted Park Hotel, Uckfield.

A Grade II listed Palladian mansion set amongst parkland makes Buxted Park a great venue for a wedding.
The ceremony normally takes place in the Orangery which is a beautiful light space and makes for lovely photos whilst still creating an intimate feel for the ceremony itself.

When it comes to couple photos the grounds allow for a lot of options depending on your taste. Normally I go through a variety of locations including the front of the hotel, the long gravel pathways to the rear or the pond for the classic reflection photo.

The reception usually takes place in Ballroom which has a very grand feel once fully dressed for a wedding. The room allows for a good variety of angles of the speeches whilst also allowing reaction shots of your guests.

Once the evening gets started the Ballroom is converted over to the dancefloor and provides a great backdrop for the dancing. This is usually a good time to sneak away to get some photos out the front of the hotel as well.
