Buxted Park Hotel Wedding
In March I covered the wedding of Heather and Kerry which took place at the lovely Buxted Park Hotel in Uckfield, Sussex.
Bridal Prep
The day was a very calm affair, starting off with Heather and her bridesmaids having Bridal Prep at the hotel. The huge windows in the room made it easier for the hair and makeup artists and also made for some lovely photos.
Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony room at the Buxted Park Hotel was the Orangery which has a lovely light and airy feel with views across the grounds.
I also took the time to borrow the wedding rings and to set up the following shot of both the rings and Buxted Park Hotel as part of my usual style of capturing the details of the day.
Couple Photography
With such nice grounds, long reaching views and the hotel itself there are lots of options when it comes to take the couple photos with a wedding at Buxted Park Hotel. We went down to the pond which gives a lovely reflection of the house, made use of the long views over the fields into the distance and finally captured some images of the hotel itself.
Working as normal, a long lens was used for many of these photos to allow the photoshoot to have more of a relaxed feel whilst still capturing lovely images.
Speeches and Evening Entertainment
The entire day was very relaxed with guests enjoying themselves. We had some lovely speeches which spoke very highly of everyone involved in the day and only resulted in slight embarrassment for the groom. After the speeches were all done Heather and Kerry cut the wedding cake and got down to the important task of the first dance. With the music being provided by a band the dancefloor was always busy with both young and old getting involved.
Night Photography
Just before leaving for the night I had checked that the front of the hotel was lit and gave Heather and Kerry the option of going outside for a quick final photo. These night shots are always something I look to do if possible as they can make great closing images for the wedding album.
Overall it was a lovely day and I wish Heather and Kerry a long and happy marriage.
